FIELD: oil recovery from formations; applicable in development of oil deposits at any stage of waterflooding. SUBSTANCE: inverted emulsion contains liquid hydrocarbon, neftenol, calcium chloride and water. Emulsion contains the following ratio of components, wt. %: liquid hydrocarbon, 10.0-20.0; neftenol, 0.3-5.0; calcium chloride, 0.8-12.0; water, the balance. Technical result of invention consists in preservation of oil displacement properties and high thermal stability of inverted emulsion under conditions of high mineralization of water phase.
