PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal that can change the design of a keypad for push buttons, where general consumers cannot change by themselves according to the uses, and to provide an input section cartridge used for the terminal. SOLUTION: The portable information terminal has an input section, having a keypad where a plurality of key top sections are formed in a single piece, and a display section for displaying document and/or image data. In this case, the keypad can be detachably exchanged to the body of the portable information terminal.
