METHOD FOR OBTAINING KERATIN LACTATE AS MUCOPOLYSACCHARIDE

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for separating keratin lactate as a mucopolysaccharide from the organs of big animals with horns, which excludes danger and simplifies the separation process. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: homogenizing the animal material; extracting by using 5-6 volume of 0.5-1% caustic soda water solution at 40-60deg.C for 3-4 hours; removing protein from the extract by using 3-4 volume of chloroform; refining by using 50-60% ethyl alcohol; dissolving the obtained precipitate in 1-2 volume of 0.2-0.4% HCL solution to refine; refining by using a chromatography, wherein the eluent is 1-2% cetyl pyridine chloride solution, and drying.
