PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a method and a program for processing image for extracting a color layout descriptor so that image groups in a relation difficult to be decided as similar images by conventional similarity decision based on the similarity of images can be decided as similar images. SOLUTION: An input image is color-normalized, the color-normalized image in the regular color is magnified, and the color of the magnified image is converted. DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) is applied to the color-converted image and a DCT coefficient provided thereby is quantized. In the group of quantized DCT coefficients provided thereby, the quantized DCT coefficient within a prescribed range from a low frequency component side is selected as the color layout descriptor of the input image. |
