PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of the read accuracy of a reproduction-only region even in an optical recording medium having a plurality of information recording layers. SOLUTION: The read accuracy of a reproduction-only region 107 is enhanced by forming no thin film on an information recording layer which overlaps the region 107 or by making the phase state of a phase change recording film in an information recording layer which overlaps the reproduction-only region such a state that the transmittance of recording and reproducing light is highest in the case of a rewritable optical recording medium using a phase change recording film. |
