PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set with a video telephone function wherein an image stored previously in a storage part can be transmitted to another user besides an image picked up with a camera by arbitrary selection of both of the images, and operation of the transmission can be performed easily in almost the same way as the conventional telephone set. SOLUTION: When an off-hook key 5 for a video telephone or an off-hook key 6 for voice is operated in response to a terminating call (step 701 or 702), video telephone terminating call processing is performed (step 703), and connection processing of calling is performed (step 704). When the off-hook key 5 for a video telephone is operated, a camera 8 is turned into an operating state (step 705), an image signal from the camera 8 is encoded (step 706), and the image signal is inputted in a CPU 21. When the off-hook key 6 for voice is operated, an image signal stored in a storage part 20 is read (step 707), encoded (step 708) and inputted in the CPU 21. |
