PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key switch where the gap between the through hole provided to an operation panel and a keytop is reduced for better appearance while dislocation between the key switch and the through hole of the operation panel is automatically corrected. SOLUTION: Key switches 1 are mounted side by side on a printed board 5, and is operated by pressing down a keytop 2 which protrudes from a through hole 6a provided to an operation panel 6 which covers the printed board 5. A slider 3 comprises an annular protruding part 3b at the outer periphery of its top part 3a. The keytop 2 comprises an upper cover 2a which has an opening larger than the outside diameter of the annular protruding part 3ba at the lower surface, and a lower cover 2b which is provided with an engagement hole 2b2 through which the slider 3 loosely penetrates to engage with the annular protruding part 3b and engages with the opening of the upper cover 2a. The upper cover 2a engages with the lower cover 2b to sandwich the annular protruding part 3b so that the keytop 2 is capped over the slider 3 to allow play.
