PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a display on the side of a signal recording area on which the signal is read out by exposure to light for readout in an optical information recording medium. SOLUTION: An optically read signal recording area 2 is formed on a resin substrate 1, a transparent layer 3 having transparency to light for read is formed on the signal recording area 2 and a display comprising a spread display layer 4 containing at least a dye is formed on the surface of the transparent layer 3. A display layer 4 having different colors (e.g. four colors) may be printed to attain a color display. The display may be letters (including a sign), a design, a pattern, a picture or a photograph. This invention is appliable to both single- sided and double-sided optical information recording media and applicable to both optical information recording media having one-step and two-step signal recording areas 2, respectively. |
