PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which can suppress increase of tracking errors near the boundary of zones even bulk erasing is carried out for initialization or sensitivity shift. SOLUTION: This is an optical recording medium having spiral or concentric tracks and optically recordable. The data recording and reproducing area is radially divided into zones of various sectors divided into sectors of address sections having address information pits and data sections consisting only of groups. This optical disc is made so that the relation between the average reflection factor Iadd of the address section and the average reflection factor Idata of the data section satisfies the relation of 0.7<=(Iadd/Idata)<=1.3 or 0.8<=(Iadd/Idata)<=1.2. |
