PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system capable of preventing unauthorized use by steadily managing a use right of reproduction of digital data. SOLUTION: Data individual information to unitarily identify the reproduction of the digital data stored in a storage medium 40 and additional information to unitarily identify a use terminal 20 are registered in a data base 13 of a host computer 10 and when the reproduction of the digital data is used by the use terminal 20, use of the reproduction is enabled only when the data individual information of the reproduction and the additional information of the use terminal 20 are registered in the data base 13.
