FIELD: forestry, engineering ecology and wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves making angular notch on tree trunk or parts thereof with following taking core sample by orienting borer on angular notch end with respect to annular layers; providing boring tangentially to filaments with respect to angular notch. Method may be used for certification of wood ranging between standing tree wood and wood of semi- finished products, as well as for ecological evaluation of forest territories.
