PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specification preparation device for steel products capable of accurately and quickly extracting the quality information of the steel product requested by a customer on the basis of inquiry information gathered from the customer thereby suppressing the generation of individual differences among data input persons and operators. SOLUTION: The specification preparation device is provided with a quality specification data registration means for registering two or more kinds of concrete data about quality specifications which can be entered to specifications for each entry item of the specifications, an input means for inputting information for at least six key items among the inquiry information gathered from the customer as indispensable input information, and a data extraction processing means performing the extraction processing of the data about the quality specifications to be entered to the specifications from the data registered in the quality specification data registration means for each of the entry items of the specifications by referring to a rule table on the basis of the indispensable input information and the information about one key item registered beforehand. In the rule table, rules about the necessity of reference and the order of the reference for the information of each of the key items are indicated for each of entry items of the specifications. |
