PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an elastic driving member such as a coiled spring or the like in combination, divide a contact into the first terminal and the second terminal so that the both terminals are tilted to be inclined in the same direction, and enable that the first terminal and the second terminal contact and separate by the movement of a pedestal. SOLUTION: In an IC socket to have the contact for mounting the IC package and to form an electric connection, the elastic driving member is installed between the stationary socket main body and the vertically movable pedestal, and the contact is vertically divided into the first terminal and the second terminal so that the both terminals are tilted in the same direction, and by the movement of the pedestal, the first terminal and the second terminal are made to be capable of being contacted and separated.
