PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent pattern detector, with which the light emission strength distribution of exciting light can be monitored with a simple configuration and the fluorescent pattern of a fluorescent material to be detected can highly accurately be detected. SOLUTION: The fluorescent pattern detector 1 has a light source 6 extending in an x-axis direction, a fluorescent reference board 4 to be excited by the existing light from the light source 6 for emitting fluorescent light, a line sensor 8a for detecting the fluorescent pattern by photodetecting the fluorescent light excited and emitted from the fluorescent material to become the detection object contained in a medium P and a line sensor 8b for detecting the light emission strength distribution along with the tube axis direction of the exciting light by photodetecting the fluorescent light excited and emitted from the fluorescent reference board 4. Then, the fluorescent pattern detected by the line sensor 8a is corrected on the basis of the light emission strength distribution detected by the line sensor 8b.
