METHOD FOR INHERITING OWNERSHIP FOR PROTECTING COPYRIGHT OF MULTIMEDIA CONTENTS

PURPOSE: A method for inheriting an ownership for protecting a CONSTITUTION: According to the method, a public key is given by registering an inheritor to inherit the multimedia contents to an authentication center. The owner inquires the public key of the corresponding inheritor through the authentication center and determines whether to inherit the ownership, according to a usage acknowledgement request from the inheritor(401 -404). When it is determined to inherit the ownership, the owner acquires a watermarking information changing right as to the contents using its own private key. And, the owner performs a watermarking processing by inputting information of the inheritor to field information given to the multimedia contents and then transmits the watermarked multimedia contents to the inheritor(405 -408).
