The implant consists of a hemispherical cup (2) with a series of holes (4) for fixing screws. Each of the holes is blocked by a plug (9) that can be removed by the surgeon to insert fixing screws in selected positions. The plugs are fixed in the holes by breakable connectors (14) in the form of weld points, and are removed by a tool with two claws inserted in cavities (15) on opposite sides of the plug and rotated.
