The headphone has an acoustic transducer (1,2,3) with a membrane separating a forward volume (4) from a rear volume (8) which is sufficiently small for preventing a spring effect in the vicinity of the base resonance of the acoustic transducer, a flow resistance allowing air to flow from the rear volume to the forward volume upon an over-pressure.
