A forming mold for molding a contact lens capable of easily and stably providing the sealability of a forming cavity and the a fixing force for fitting both male and female molds to each other in matched state, wherein, in both the male and female molds forming a forming cavity (16) for the contact lens between the matched surfaces of the molds, a fitting projected part (42) projected from the fitting wall (34) of one mold (14) is provided on the mold (14), the fitting projected part (42) is pressed against the fitting wall (22) of the other mold (12) in mold matching to deform the projected part so as to enclose the outer peripheral edge part of the forming cavity (16) and to fill a clearance (40) between the fitting walls (22) and (34) of both the male and female molds (12) and (14) to provide a fitted fixing force.
