Filter element (15), in particular an air/oil separating element with a drainage device (23). The above comprises a drainage tube (22), which is connected to an upper terminal disc (16) of the filter element, by means of a connector (24) which can comprise clip hooks (25). The above is characterised by economic gains in production, leading to competitive products. Furthermore, the drainage device is of modular construction, whereby the connector (24) and the drainage tube (22) form separate components. The length of the drainage pipe can thus be optimally matched to various filter dimensions.
