Washing-up basket (1) comprises a lattice base (2) and at least two, preferably four lattice side walls (3) hinged on the base. A peripheral sliding element (8) moving perpendicularly to the base interacts with the side walls so that when the sliding element is moved onto the base the side walls tilt over into a position of non-use and when the sliding element is moved away from the base the side walls stand up into a position of use. Independent claims are also included for alternative washing-up baskets. Preferred Features: The sliding element is guided and irremovably held on the side walls.
