Removing liquids from a gas stream, especially for the gas generating system of a fuel cell, comprises diverting the stream through a right angle, to produce a spiral flow. An Independent claim is included for an apparatus for the above process which comprises a vertical tube (2), through which the gas is passed, which has perforations (6), through which the gas flows, into a spiral guide (7).
