Acetamido-2,3,4,5-tetradeoxy-4-guanidino-D-glycero-D- galacto-non-2-enopyranosonic acid in crystalline form, particularly in the form of a hydrate which exists as crystals having a low aspect ratio, or in the form of a hydrate which exists as crystals having a high aspect ratio.
