PURPOSE: An LCD fabricating method is provided to uniformly spread the liquid crystal material over the entire surface when joining the substrates together and prevent the liquid crystal material from flowing beyond the sealant, thereby preventing the joining reject of the substrates and keeping the liquid crystal cell interval uniformly. CONSTITUTION: An LCD fabricating method includes the steps of forming an orientation film on either or both of upper and lower substrates having at least one or more liquid crystal cell areas(111,121,131,141), carrying out the orientation processing for the orientation film, scattering spacers on either(110) of the substrates, doping a sealant(150) to define the liquid cell areas around the boundaries on the substrate, dropping a liquid crystal material(133) on the substrate by a predetermined interval, and joining the substrates together, wherein the liquid crystal material at the outermost portion adjacent to the sealant where the orientation is begun or finished is dropped farther from the sealant than the liquid crystal material at the outermost portion in the other places. |
