PURPOSE: A device for multiplexing PCM(Pulse Code Modulation) data of a switching system is provided to save resources and perform efficient multi-channel services by realigning multiplexing frame data for providing over 64Kbps multi-channel services necessary for time-switched service channels. CONSTITUTION: A multiplexer inputs serial PCM(Pulse Code Modulation) data from a relay interface board, and generates multiplexing frame data. A TSI(Time Slot Interchange) performs a time slot interchanging process for the generated multiplexing frame data, and converts the multiplexing frame data into parallel PCM data. A demultiplexer receives the parallel PCM data, and demultiplexes the parallel PCM data to serial PCM data.
