The invention relates to a method and a device for supplying breathing gas to a person. Said method and device are used particularly in sleep medicine for the diagnosis and/or therapy of sleep-related breathing disorders. The invention aims at enabling improved diagnosis of the physiological condition of said individuals and/or improved therapy adapted to physiological requirements of the individual. This is achieved by means of a device for supplying a breathing gas to a person, comprising a breathing gas line system, a connecting device for coupling to a breathing gas line in order to connect the breathing gas line system and a patient breathing mask, a pressure lock provided in the breathing gas line system for producing a difference between the pressure in the breathing gas line and ambient pressure, wherein the device can be operated in such a way that pressure of the breathing gas in the breathing mask can be selectively regulated above or under ambient pressure level. |
