The spanner is assembled of a head (20) of any suitable kind, a longitudinal handle (10) and a u-shaped joint element (11). The joint element (11), accommodated with its curved lower side in the upper end of the handle (10), is provided with a threaded opening located at one of its outer ends and an opening with a plane inner surface at the opposite end. A semi-circular extension (22) protruding from the lower end of the head (20) is inserted in the space between the arms of the U and held in place by a locking bolt (30) with a threaded end (31) guided transversally through the extension (22) and joined to the inner thread of the opening. The bore (221) in the extension (22) is of the shape of an hour glass with a narrow center, facilitating the bolt (30) to move inside within the set limits and the spanner to be used with the head (20) bent into the required direction.
