A heat exchanger ceiling tile (10) is suspended from a ceiling and is fitted on the top side with an array of heat exchanger pipes (54) connected to the cooling/heating system. Threaded studs (16) are fitted to the top side of the tile to hold clamping profiles which press the heat exchanger pipes onto the ceiling tile. Thermal contact is further improved by applying a thermal conducting paste. The threaded fasteners can be applied to the tile by welding and also serve to attach the tile to the hangers (34). The tile can be made of aluminium or aluminium alloy.
