Cosmetic compositions, especially for simultaneous fixing and UV protection of hair, containing light protectant and cationic copolymer based on acrylic, lactam and aminated monomers

Cosmetic compositions (A) comprise cationic polymer(s) (I) and light protectant(s) (II), where (I) are obtained by radical copolymerization of: (1) 50-70 wt. % acrylate ester or acrylamide derivative monomer(s); (2) 5-45 wt. % vinyl lactam monomer(s); (3) 5-40 wt. % mono-ethylenically unsaturated monomer with at least one amino-containing group; and (4) 0-5 wt. % polyalkylene oxide-containing silicone derivative. Cosmetic compositions (A) comprise cationic polymer(s) (I) and light protectant(s) (II), where (I) are obtained by radical copolymerization of: (1) 50-70 wt. % acrylate ester or acrylamide derivative monomer(s) (IA), (2) 5-45 wt. % vinyl lactam monomer(s) (IB), (3) 5-40 wt. % mono-ethylenically unsaturated monomer with at least one amino-containing group; and (4) 0-5 wt. % polyalkylene oxide-containing silicone derivative. X = O or NR1; R1 = H or 1-8C alkyl; R2 = tert. butyl; n = 1-3. Alternatively up to 40 wt. % (based on (a) - (d)) of (a) may be replaced by a monomer (a') of formula (IA; R2 = 2-22C alkyl).
