OPTICAL TRANSMISSION APPARATUS

PURPOSE: An optical transmission apparatus is provided to offer DSL(Digital Subscriber Line) services at low costs and easily expand the number of subscribers capable of accommodation. CONSTITUTION: A DSL modulation section(101) generates a DSL modulated signal on the basis of an inputted digital data signal. An optical modulation section(102) converts the DSL modulated signal outputted from the DSL modulation section(101) into an optical signal. An optical transmission section(103) transmits the optical signal outputted from the optical modulation section(102). An optical detection section(104) reconverts the optical signal transmitted over the optical transmission section(103) into the DSL modulated signal which is an electrical signal. An electrical transmission section(105) transmits the DSL modulated signal outputted from the optical detection section(104). A DSL demodulation section(106) demodulates the DSL modulated signal transmitted over the electrical transmission section(105) to reproduce the digital data signal.
