<p>The remote control uses ultrasound transmitted from a service appts. to an ultrasonic receiver of the electric light etc., which converts the ultrasonic signal electronically into a switching pulse. The mechanical oscillator, used as the ultrasonic source, is a metal, ceramic, or glass ring. Pref. the ring has a double-T profile, with the space between the shanks forming a resonance chamber for the ring natural frequency. Typically the ring is suspended at two to four suspension points and is struck by the striking mechanism (3, 4, 7) approx. in the middle between two suspension points.</p> |
