Computer mains unit with improved cooling and noise damping

The mains unit converts mains ac supply into dc current for the computer. A ladder arrangement of aluminium cooling ribs (11) is formed in the housing (1) of the unit. This arrangement has two planar surfaces in different planes and an inclined surface onto which a plate (12) of a width suitable for conveying the current is screwed. This increases the surface of the cooling ribs (11) and conveys the air flow of the fan (3) through the ribs and the electronic components in the unit so that the cooling effect is improved and noise is reduced by a linear air flow.
