PURPOSE: A CRT panel lapping machine is provided to prevent partial side wear of the lapping unit by maintaining contact angle between the lapping unit and panel constantly horizontal. CONSTITUTION: A CRT panel lapping machine comprises a base(10); a rotation table(20) mounted to the base in a manner that the rotation table is rotatable around a vertical axis line; a rotation body mounted to the rotation table in a manner that the rotation body is rotatable around a horizontal axis line; an arm(40) mounted to the rotation body, and in a manner that the arm moves together with the rotation body around the horizontal axial line; a spindle(44) mounted to the arm in a manner that the spindle is rotatable around the vertical axis line; a driving motor(48) connected to the spindle to rotate the spindle; a disk type lapping unit(46) fixed to the lower end of the spindle in a manner that the lapping unit contacts to a panel by the arm moving circularly; a position fixing unit for fixing the arm at a predetermined position in a manner that the contact angle between the lapping unit and the panel is maintained constant; and an arm elevating unit elevating the arm in a vertical direction to control the elevation of lapping unit in a vertical direction.
