<p>A bis(2-aryl-5-pyridyl) derivative represented by the general formula (1): (1) [wherein A represents an optionally substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group and X represents a group selected among the following formulae (2) to (4): (2) (3) (4) (wherein in the formula (2), R1 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl substituted by di(lower alkyl)amino and m is a number of 1 or 2; in the formula (3), Y1 and Y2 each represents nitrogen or CH and n is a number of 0 to 6; and in the formula (4), R2 and R3 each represents hydrogen or lower alkyl, Z represents a single bond, substituted methylene, substituted imino, oxygen, or cycloalkylene, and p and q each is a number of 0 to 6)] or a salt of the derivative. The compound (1) has excellent IgE antibody production inhibitory activity and is useful as a medicine such as a preventive/remedy for allergic immunopathy.</p> |
