PRESSURIZED ANHYDROUS ANTIPERSPIRANT EMULSIONS

Disclosed are pressurized anhydrous antiperspirant emulsions, comprising a) an external, hydrophobic phase containing a liquefied propellant and a hydrophobic liquid other than and in addition to the liquefied propellant; and (b) an internal, polar phase containing antiperspirant active solubilized in a polar solvent. The anhydrous antiperspirant emulsions provide low residue or clear application to the underarm, and new formulation opportunities as compared to conventional pressurized antiperspirant compositions, including pressurized single-phase antiperspirant solutions as well as pressurized multi-phase antiperspirant suspensions containing dispersed solid antiperspirant active.
