The inventive flat two-dimensional self scanning display comprises a light-active matrix in the form of a set of periodic lines comprising light-reflective or back-projection or light-emitting elements, which control a current or a charge generated by a raster-scanning device. Said scanning device is embodied in the form of a nanostructured active material in which a persistent travelling electron soliton-wave controlling the light-active matrix is generated and propagated. Said nanostructured material consists of clusters provided with tunnel-transparent shells. The cluster is dimensioned in such a way that it enables an electron to exhibit resonance properties. Said dimension is defined by an annular radius of the electron wave r o = 7.2517 nm. The cluster dimension is specified within the of from r o to 4r o , i.e. 7.251 7nm </=r</= 29.0068, the thickness of a tunnel-transparent spacing being equal to or higher than r<i>o =7.2517 nm.
