The belt is made of a strip (1) of a suitable rigid material like starched cotton, hemp, jute, or a synthetic fabric in order to prevent the rib cage from extending too far during inhalation. Two elastic strips (3) provided with layer of Velcro (RTM) are sewn to the front end of the belt (1) at a short distance from the front edge, creating, when joined to a layer of Velcro (RTM) (2) at the opposite end, an elastic area (5) at the front which facilitates a slight but still limited extension of the chest for breathing.
