The bicycle carrier has a frame (10) with two sides between which the wheel of the bicycle is positioned. A first sleeve (45) is fitted on one of the sides of the frame in order to hold the first end of the wheel axle, and a second sleeve (44) is fitted on the other side and movable between a first position to release the second end of the axle and a second position to hold the second end of the axle. A hollow connection is constructed on the second side of the frame and a bolt is guided through it and connected to the second sleeve.
