<p>An image-processing device enabling reproduction of color characteristics approximate to the desired color characteristics as a whole while effective using the high-luminance color reproduction region of an image output device. The image-processing device has a color correction table for determining the amount of color conversion from the amount of white color conversion (ΔLw, Δuw, Δvw) depending on the lightness L and performs desired color correction using the color correction table. In this color correction table, the amount of color conversion decreases as the lightness decreases, and when the lightness decreases below a predetermined value Lmin, the amount of color conversion becomes nearly zero. By moving the color point in the direction where the lightness is maintained, or by moving the color point in the direction where the lightness increases, the color correction using the color correction table is performed.</p> |
