A relay box (23) used as a device for vehicles is upwardly separably supported on a bracket (26) installed on the front surface of a damper housing (22). The bracket (26) and the upper surface of a wheel house (21) are connected by a deformable member (27) having a first plate-like portion (27a), a bent portion (27b) and a second plate-like portion (27c), with the bent portion (27b) facing the lower surface of the relay box (23). When the wheel house (21) is deformed rearward upon vehicle collision, the deformable member (27) is deformed into an inverted V-shape, with its bent portion (27b) pushing up the relay box (23) to separate the latter from the car body. This makes it possible to secure a crush stroke for the engine room, not only enhancing the shock absorbing performance but also minimizing the damage to the relay box (23).
|
