A guide channel for energy guiding chains, which can be mounted on a base structure, has parallel, lateral guide elements extending in the longitudinal direction of the guide channel, between which an energy guiding chain can rest, and bottom guide elements, on which the lower strand of the energy guiding chain can rest. In order to simplify manufacture and assembly, as well as to reduce the transport volume, of a guide channel of this kind, the lateral and/or bottom guide elements are designed as profile rods (2, 3), and mounting elements (4), which can be mounted on the base structure, are provided, on which the profile rods (2, 3) can be mounted in such a way that they have a section (9) protruding into the inside of the guide channel (1), by means of which the energy guiding chain can be laterally guided and on which the lower strand can rest.
