A content data transmitting device, a content data processing device, and so forth preferably applied to a transmitter and a receiver of digital broadcasting. A Move_Pause descriptor is written in a PMT multiplexed in a transport stream TS. A CPU (101) controls a move processing and a pause processing according to the description of the Move_Pause descriptor. The Move_Pause descriptor contains information such as the feasibility of move, the possible number of moves, the feasibility of pause, the possible number of reproductions, and the limit of time of pause storage. In a move processing, a stream TS stored in an HDD (106) is moved to a recorder (240) without changing the copy generation information if the copying of the stream TS is not inhibited. In a pause processing, the stream TS is stored in the HDD (106), not outputted to an output device (monitor device (230)), if the copying of the stream TS is inhibited. Thereafter, the stored stream TS is read and outputted to the output device. The copyright of the move and pause of the content provider can be protected.
