<p>A process is disclosed for bending plastic tubes. The tube (6) is heated up to a temperature at which it may be plastically deformed. The heated tube is introduced into a tubular channel (27) of a bending tool. The bending tool consists of two jaws (9, 10) provided each with a groove. Both grooves form together the bending channel. A coolant is made to flow through the bent tube (6) while the tube is still in the bending tool. The cooled tube is removed from the bending tool after both jaws of the bending tools are separated. The device for bending plastic tubes consists of a heating station (1), a bending station (2) and a cooling station (3, 3a). The bending tool has two jaws provided each with a groove. Both grooves form together the tubular bending channel (27). The heating station is formed by two heating jaws (4, 5) and the cooling station is formed by a supply line (21) whose connection is coupled to the end of the tube.</p> |
