The push-button switch has a housing (1) enclosing a switch part (2) with a heart-shaped ratchet cam, displaced against a spring bias by operation of the switch push-button (5) for closure of switch contacts, the ratchet cam engaged by a ratchet lever (7), released by subsequent operation of the push-button. The spring bias is provided by a spring elastic switch mat (6) with a switch dome (6A) containing a movable switch contact operated by a cylindrical switch rod (2B) of the switch part, having a guide sleeve for fixing the switch rod in the switch dome.
