PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine room structure of construction machinery, which enables the arrangement of pipes for connections between an engine and instruments such as an after-cooler and an air cleaner without decreasing the cooling efficiency of the engine and coolers such as a radiator and an oil cooler or decreasing easiness of maintenance work for the engine, etc., when the instruments are additionally arranged ahead of the coolers. SOLUTION: With regard to at least one 21 of paired bulkheads 20 and 21 between which an engine unit 16 is sandwiched, a lower part 21a of the bulkhead 21 is arranged in close vicinity to the engine unit 16; an upper part 21b thereof is formed in such a manner as to be separated from the engine unit 16; the pipes 17b and 18a, which connect the engine 4 with the instruments 17 and 18 arranged ahead of the cooler 10, are laid between the upper part 21b and the engine unit 16; and a step 25, which is extended from a deck 2c to the engine unit 16, is installed at an upper end of the bulkhead 21.
