<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical matrix switch capable of flexible operation like a analog optical path changeover, and also capable of being composed of few number of wiring for driving. SOLUTION: A double type optical cross point switch is configured of 1×2 optical switch 16 and 2×1 optical switch 17, and one ends of the electric wiring are connected with electric digital switches 23a, 23b, and the other ends of the electric wiring are connected with driving power sources (driving circuits) 1a, 1b, respectively. The analog driving circuit is shared by each output optical waveguide for the 1×2 optical switch, and is shared by each input waveguide for the 2×1 optical switch. Thus, the number of driving circuits can be decreased. Moreover, the wiring to the driving circuits can also be partly shared by each common driving circuit, and an electric connection terminal 22 from an optical matrix switch chip 21 can also be eliminated at the same time.</p> |
