PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an off-axis reflection optical system which is usable even at a wide angle. SOLUTION: The off-axis reflection optical system is provided with a convex mirror 1 of which the light L (incident ray) reflected from an object, not shown in Figure, has negative power, a concave mirror 2 which has positive power to reflect the light reflected by the convex mirror 1, an image forming surface 3 which images the light reflected by the convex mirror 1 and the concave mirror 2 and a stop 4 (S) in such a position which makes nearly the image side nearly telecentric. The optical system is constituted to form a coaxial system which makes the optical axes 1 of the convex mirror 1 and the concave mirror 2 coaxial.
