PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing plated molded goods which is capable of forming chemical conversion films having excellent corrosion resistance by surface treatment using a treating liquid not containing hexad chromium. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the plated molded goods comprises subjecting the surfaces of the molded goods obtained by dichromatic molding to tervalent chrome plating. The method includes a process step of plating the molded goods under the following treatment conditions: (a) the liquid concentration of tervalent chromium in the plating bath, 6 to 10 g/l, (b) the total amount of impurities in a plating bath: <=60 ppm, (c) the temperature of the bath: 40 to 50 deg.C, (d) the pH of the plating bath: 3.2 to 3.6, (e) a cathode current density: 3 to 5 A/dm<2> , and (f) an anode/cathode ratio: 1.5 to 2:1.
