PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material excellent in hardening characteristic and finish. SOLUTION: The polymerizable unsaturated resin coating material comprises (1) a resin (A) having a (meth)acryloyl group and/or a vinyl group, (2) an unsaturated monomer (B) selected from an unsaturated monomer having a (meth) acryloyl group and vinyltoluene, (3) an organic peroxide (C) and comprises no aromatic organic solvent. The formation of the coating film contains a process in which the coating material is applied on a substrate and hardened at 5-100 deg.C.
