PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in an ionizing method based on the spraying of a solution, a solution sample can be analyzed as it is but actual gaseous ionizing efficiency is only about 10<-5> % in many cases and, especially, oligonucleotide hard to ionize further becomes lower in its ionizing efficiency value and the detection of good sensitivity thereof is difficult. SOLUTION: In the ionizing efficiency increasing method in mass analysis, an additive having a property of a proton acceptor for accelerating the negative ionization of an analyte is mixed with the analyte to enhance the gaseous ionizing efficiency of the analyte.
