PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer carrier capable of effectively preventing the excessive electrification of developer by providing material by which the suitable relation of triboelectrification between the developer carrier and carrier or toner is formed, made excellent in wear resistance even in the case of using low-priced base substance easily worked, and yielding a stable image free from blotch, the lowering of image density, fogging, the adhesion of the carrier and the scattering of character even in the case of long-term service under every environment, and to provide a developing device using the developer carrier. SOLUTION: In this developer carrier of the developing device performing development with the developer carried and fed by the developer carrier by applying developing bias to the developer carrier arranged while leaving space between a latent image carrier and the developer carrier; a resin coating layer on base substance has sea island structure where very small island parts made of another resin are dispersed in matrix resin constituting a sea part, and conductive particles are dispersed at least either of the resin constituting the sea part and the island part. The developer carrier and the developing device using the developer carrier are provided. |
